Anyone have any more news for this year? I hear my cousin's son's band Myth not Man (MNM Militia), (a downriver band) is opening for his band in Michigan, I hear it's August, but, if it was actually happening, tickets and info. would have surfaced by now. And their website don't mention a thing about it. HMMMMMMM

Well seeings how its already August, I don't think its looking too good for an 09 tour. That said anything can happen but seeings how much is involved in starting & organizing a R&R tour with the magnitude that Bob Seger carries I'd have to say the odds are stacked against this happening before the end of 09. If and I mean if a 09 tour was in the works I'm sure someone or some group with serious connections would have leaked this information by now. Sorry for the rather depressing answer to your question but as the old sports saying goes; "wait till next year"!

Well based on the undertone I perceived when I garnered all the information I could on his recent golf outing with Tiger Woods, I don't think we'll see another concert tour anytime soon, if ever. Golf seems to have been his main interest ever since the last tour ended.
And then, too, if you look at the photo's of Bob taken during the golf game at the Buick Open pro-am, he sure doesn't look as though he's working on getting a tour ready.

I attended this years Moondance Jam (its a classic rock festival in northern Minnesota) Grand Funk Railroad was playing one of the days.
I was lucky enough to win a meet n greet with GFR, When I met Mr. Don Brewer he noticed my shirt and said "All right, Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band", I had on my Face the Promise Tour Shirt.
We talked a little, and I asked him if had been doing anything with Bob lately, He said he hasn't heard anything from Bob and his group since the tour.
I would feel there won't be any tour.

I cant see Bob Seger doing another tour at this stage. I think his touring days are over & the longer he leaves it the harder it would be for him to come back at 64. So if you saw him on the last tour, count yourselves lucky. He might record another album and maybe release some back catalogue things etc. I suspect he may even release the long awaited DVD once he stops performing.Just my opinion.

I agree with all the above. However I would also add that when a group or singer releases a "Essential Hits collection, you know in your heart they're throwing in the towel for good. don't believe me well the next time you find yourself at Walmart ckeck out the many numerous examples of AOR groups that have since called it a day. You may not like what you see but you'll see the reasoning. It befuddles me why groups such as REO, Styx, .38 Special & Journey still go on when none of them have been able to put a chart topper out in years. As for Bob its high time to release a box set of his works!

I'm lost. SaPacy, which concert were you refering to?
No matter. what ever concert it is, I am not aware of a complete recording of any of his concerts. Maybe Live Bullet, but that album seems a bit short for a concert. I'm thinking the actual concert was a bit longer. Maybe someone who was there can correct me on that.
9 Tonight was recorded in two different locations. Not sure if that was all the songs on the list.

My guess...they need the money and/or they don't feel like they have anything else better to do.

Short answer; no. From what I see, Bob is more concerned about his golf handicap then writing & recording new music. Sad but true. Enjoy your copy of Face the Promise cause in his mind he's done that. He gave his fans what they wanted; one more effort of new material (CD) & a corresponding tour to promote it. So now its off to the links for some much needed R&R(rest & relaxation). Maybe all us posters here ought to take a cue from Bob himself and get up from the computer and go play a round of golf ourselves!

I was fortunate enough to be at both of the Live Bullet concerts (nose bleed seats on the 4th and 5th row center on the 5th). However, like most folks I didn't write down the set-lists. Even though LB is considered to be one of the best recorded/mixed/produced live albums of all time, if you listen close, you can hear the "cut-ins" in certain spots.
I saw Bob & SSB here in Vegas on Face the Promise - 1 concert that I was NOT going to miss. Sure wish there was another tour to attend or at least the DVD of the last one

Reality check: Its now the middle of Rocktober, ur October and still no word has come down from high above on this subject. I think the answer is pretty obvious to everyone by now. However, you all might beginning to ask yourselves is it too early to start up the will Bob tour in 2010 thread yet?
