Hey everyone,

I'm writing an article on Bob Seger to be published in a college and high school reference book of about 600 influential artists of the 20th century. Unfortunately, not a lot of books have been published on Seger and finding accurate dates was quite difficult.

I'm looking for
1. His first wife's name, and when they married
2. His mother's name
3. His younger brother's name and birth date
4. His two children and their birth dates

I'd appreciate a reply or if you have a reliable source with all of this information that would be awesome as well. Feel free to reply on here or send an email to hagans.j@neu.edu. Thanks!

Spend a day reading this site. http://segerfile.com/ It will answer many of your questions. Be careful when you read posts made on the first day of April each year.

Two other good sites are Segernet.com .... the largest Seger forum and Segerbob.com . Lots of good information here too.
When you hit a question you can't answer, ask it on Segernet and someone might be able to help you.

brother john used to work at wrigleys grocery store to help support family. father Stewart worked at Ford Rouge plant and was a heavy drinker when they were growing up.

I have heard a rumor he has an older paternal half brother. Can anyone confirm?

Can't say if he's a half brother or what. But I'm fairly certain that he has a brother George, possibly living somewhere in Florida.

I've done some research on ancestry.com, Bob has an older half brother. So, my family rumor proves true. I'll post a screen shot when I figure it all out.

Also, George's wife Nancy died a few years ago. I hear sometimes from George's sister in law Carol.
Carol is Nancy's sister. George also has a home in Michigan. His sons Jason and Clark also have condos in Florida. All in Naples. All the information on Bob and his family would be at segerbob website segerfile and segernet. Also, Bob's wife's name is really Juanita.
